I'm getting a lot of interference on Sky (picture freezing, losing sound), I've switched off at mains, removed card, turned it on (what the recorded message tell you to do when you ring Sky) but it's still no use, as I don't want to be on hold for 15 minutes while phoning Sky, could anyone tell me if there is some sort of reboot/reset command I could try.

full system reset.

Is this a recent thing? Are there any trees in line with or close to signal path that have come into leaf. This could break up signal.
I've had loads of problems with sky tonight. Channels with no signal...no sound on others....frozzen pics...the works. Not sure whats going on.
the footie was particularly jittery tonight.not sure if it was sky or the host broadcasters transmission tho.
It was a problem with SKY as when there were problems I flicked over to ITV and it was fine, the other tell tale sign was that the sound also when off therefore suggesting it was a sky problem and not a picture broadcast problem.

From the "Services" menu check the signal quality & strength readings.

Below normal readings (less than 50% of the bar) may indicate problems with your dish or possibly with the cable or connectors.

The easiest ones to check are the cable connection(s) from the dish to the back of your sky box - unscrew them from the box - check the attachment of the metal connectors to the cable(s) and re-fit to the sky box - then re-check the signal readings.
