Does anyone know when they stop the broadcast of analog TV? What are they going to do with the large towers that send it out? and will our analog-only TVs be any use after?

It's going to be a rolling shutdown around the country from 2008 up 'til 2012 as far as I've heard and read .

You can still use the old Tv's to playback from Video's and Dvd players , but if there is no signal there won't be anything to watch . (maybe).

get a 30 freeview box - problem solved!

cheers
They've been saying they'll turn off the analogue signals since the 80's, so I'd be very surprised if they'll keep to these proposed dates.

The TV towers will still be needed, but will need to broadcast digitial signals instead of the current analogue.

As mentioned above, analogue TVs will still be perfectly usable with a 30 FreeView box.
