Photobucket?

I tried to use Photobucket to add 3 pictures to an eBay listing (I am new to eBay and to Photobucket). It didn't work. Instead of the photos, it showed the name of the photos in the listing. Should it show the actual photos in the listing, or does it provide a link you should click on to see the photos?

ETHEL kindly explained how to do it in a previous answer, but somehow I am getting it wrong. I ended up listing the photos through eBay's own facility, but I would love to be able to do it the Photobucket way.

I know it doesn't cost much for using eBay's facility, but when you are only selling for 1.25, every little helps!

I could manage to get the photos in the bucket, and they were very good and clear. But when I used the same photos in my eBay listing, they were blurred and not good.

Any help gratefully received. Thanks!

Hosting your own photos using photobucket is very easy - once you know how.

In the description box of the listing - where you type to describe the item and your terms and so on - you need to paste the MIDDLE line of characters underneath the photo.

It is worth doing because the quality of the photo will be superior than hosting it through ebay - as well as being free.

If you want the photo to be in the middle rather than to the left of the page you need to enter some HTML.

It is very easy. Here is an example of the middle tag:

<a target='_blank' href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/etheleneglycol/ethel5.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

To make it centred in the page you will need to add:

<center>

at the beginning. Note the American spelling. It won't work with English spelling. So this is how it will look in your listing:

<center><a target='_blank' href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v732/etheleneglycol/ethel5.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

You will need to cancel the centre command otherwise the rest of the page will be centred.

Immediately after the last > in the string add </center>.

I'm sorry if you know this already. Good luck.

Here is an excellent site for help with both photobucket and turbolister:
