All I get on pressing CTL-V is 'undefined', other ABers seem to be able to do it, though...

Your CTL-V is a little confusing. Just to clarify:

CTRL + C to copy and CTRL + V to paste. Alternatively having highlighted something you should be able to 'right' click on your mouse and select the option to copy.

OK, so CTRL+V
However, after I try to paste, all that appears is 'undefined' instead of the copied text.
What computer/OS are you using?
Question Author

Windows XP with IE 6.0

I have to assume that you mean when you want to copy something that somebody else has posted in the AB or do you mean eg in MS Word?
Question Author

OK, now once more, really slowly!

I would like to copy something INTO the Answer Box.
For example a long recipe, that I have written somewhere else, Word, or whatever.
So I copy it from the other editor, go to the AB answer box and press CTRL-V

And what comes up is the word 'undefined'.

I have no problems copying text from AB into another editor.

Can't help you on that as I don't have the same problem. I can say for certainty though that if what you are copying is more that 2,000 words(I think that is the limit it will not be accepted until reduced.

Strangely enough I can't do the opposite. For example there was a joke in AB that I wanted to copy but everytime I tried to highlight the specific section just about everything else got highlighted. I failed to find out what it was that I was doing wrong.

Possibly your security settings?
