How do you wake up a HP Omnibook 4150

I recently purchased a second hand Hewlett Packard Omnibook 4150 laptop. Works brilliantly and very happy with it apart from one very annoying trait! When I leave the laptop on for an extended period unused it goes to 'sleep' and no amount of jiggling the mouse or pressing buttons will make it wake up. Neither will it shut down properly when I can't wake it up. Please can someone tell me how to wake up this sleeping pain. Thanks

Try pressing the power button once, this is how it works on my laptop.You can stop your from doing thhis by going into the Control Panel-Power Options, and adjusting the settings.You can also disable the Hibernation mode.
