Got a webcam but cant seem to connect to any directories of users????? How can I do this.

Don't use Netmeeting myself. You could try Yahoo Instant Messenger (free) Plenty access there for Webchat etc.

You could also try Camarades which offers you a free webcam page, accessible to anyone. They also have video chat rooms, which I think may offer what you are looking for. You may have to sign up as an "Elite" member, but there is a free trial period. http://www.camarades.com/ Good luck, and I would recommend broadband access for decent links.
