Nokia 6230 - Cant get rid of the hands free icon

When i switch the 6230 on i get an icon which looks like a guy with head phones on and when i go to the gallery and try to play any of the ringtones they dont play just vibrate...ive tried checking the general and outdoor profiles and activating them but i still cant play the ringtones to play.....any ideas??
