I have a photo that i want to blank out the background, just leaving the foreground subject, in this case, a person, I would like to know an easy way to do this, if there is an easy way?

It is paint shop pro 8 if that matters?

Hope someone can help?

Yo can either make the background a different colour (black) and if this is the same colour as the background of wherever you're viewing the image (on a webpage?) then you won't notice anything but the foreground of the image.

Alternatively , if you have the image saved as a .GIF then you can make the background transparent.
It'd be easier for me to do this for you rather than spend 8 paragraphs explaining how to do it!
you can use the lasso tool and point to point option to select a portion, then invert selection to select everything BUT. then delete, colour, do whatever...
