Hi, I have just sent off for my first ever flight sim. It is 'Rowan's Battle of Britain', on pc. However, what do I need to play it. Do you use the keyboard, a mouse, a joystick, or a games pad? If it is one of the last two, is there a particular make I should buy? Cheers!

Hi......If you are really interested in Flight Simulation, first might I suggest you get the latest Microsoft Flight Sim or Combat Flight sim.......The best.

Having said that, you will most likely be able to use the keyboard plus mouse, but this won't give you very precise control and even a simple games pad would be better.

A Joystick is probably the best option at a reasonable price to give you some sort of flying "feel"......plenty of scope there...they are all pretty good but play around in PC World and get one that suits you.

......Yokes with pedals are the best but soooo expensive.....worth it if you are an FS Nut......but otherwise too dear.........

I would test the software with just the keyboard and mouse then make up your mind whether you want to go further.....hope this helps.....commoner. ;-)
here's a blog i found about my favorite simulator, everything it say's is accurate http://hubpages.com/hub/flight-simulations
