Does anyone know anything about this laptop? Apparently, it's only sold by the Dixons group (incl Currys & PCWorld) and is a rebranded chassis. What does that mean? It costs 750 and seems an OK spec & weight for the money but is still a lot of money to spend if it only lasts a few months.

Rebranded just means that Phillips did not make it. Someone else did and Phillips just stuck their label on it.

Not as bad as it sounds as many PCs, Laptops and Cameras are not actually made by the people who have their badge on it.

But I would be a little wary of it, as it is only sold through Dixons and Currys and PC World (who are all the same company).

I would go for a laptop made and sold by the same company, Dell or HP or Toshiba for example, rather than a rebadged Phillips.

How interested are Phillips going to be if it goes wrong.
