Freeview Box

I have a Sony DVD Recorder RDR-HX750 and i would like to know if it can be used in conjunction with a basic Freeview box.

I am sure that it won't work as a recorder but you could probably use it as a DVD player on a modern TV.
Not sure on picture quality though
