ALBA DVD recorder to Freeview box

How do i get the dvd recorder to "see" the freeview box so i can record off the freeview box. Freeview works ok on my TV but i can't store it onto a programe number on the TV.

Select AV Programme,sometimes marked as 0,then plug Scart Lead from Freeview box to DVD Recorder.
