im fed up of my laptop shutting down if im not using it for a few minutes thanku

Check what setting for shut down you have it on. How long it is usually in minutes. Set it for what you want

Hit the "Windows" key and start typing "Power and Sleep". It should show the option before you get tot the end so click it and open the setting page ofr it. Amend the settings as required remember though a laptop will have on mains and batteryb options.
