I'm using Excel in windows 10 and didn't notice that column "A" wasn't wide enough and dates re column "A" text had moved to column "B". I'm trying to encompass column "B" dates into column "A" text. Making column "A" bigger is no problem but it just pushes column "B" further to the right. If that makes sense. How do i bring both columns together. Thanks in advance

Would merging the columns help any ? Whatever you do back-up first.
so you want to merge columns?
Highlight both columns and find merge columns in you ribbon across the top of the application.
If column A is made wider to enable the date to be shown, then obviously column B will be shifted a bit to the right. I don't understand why that isn't what you want.

I'm worried that the 48 lines of text in column "A" will not align with the calendar dates in column "B" when I print the document. Yes .I want to merge both columns but can't find the merge option you are talking about???
Column A text is still in column A - just looks like its in the next column(s).

Select column A and then wrap text.

Select all columns then align top
Would you be happier to make text smaller so it fits..... as theres a 'shrink to fit' facility in format cell alignment...or wrap text option
too slow again... tuvoks done it
just swap the columns over so the date comes before the text then they'll line up.
Have you an example of what you have in a cell in Column A and the cell next to it in Column B?

Use a kiddie-on example if there's anything we shouldn't see.
Highlight the two columns.

Look on the ribbon above and just left of centre there's a section called alignment. There's a small rectangular icon with a horizontal double ended arrow inside.

Click on that and it will merge the two columns.
