Missing Folders In Outlet - Help Please

Cannot believe this. You have all helped me over the last few days to set up my new Outlook after going away from GMail.

All was well until today when I tries to make new folders and name them for Answerbank, Amazon and about six more. Did this and moved the appropriate messages into these folders from Inbox and they all appeared ok.

Suddenly when I switched on Outlook all these folders have disappeared and all I have in the folder pane is what was there originally so I have lost all these emails!

What have I done?

Just found out - although not on my laptop they ARE showing on my Android phone!

What does this mean?

On your laptop do you have the side bar showing. On mine it has the word Folders, underneath that 'inbox' with all my emails showing on the right and then under the word Inbox it says 'More'. Click on that and your folders should appear.

Yes Trudie the bar is there and it says folders at bottom - not under Inbox but does not say More and never has!
I clicked on Folders earlier and added about 5 and named them but they have disappeared!
Still on my phone though
