What happens if I don’t renew my monthly contract (£14.95) … can I still use the phone, will they change the monthly payment? Or do I get a new phone with a new contract? The problem is, I have a very bad reception with this phone indoors as we live in a ‘dip’…. Would I be better off getting a contract with a different provider, if so which is the best money wise for unlimited phone calls?? I have a Samsung Galaxy A40. Reception is fine outdoors or hanging out the window. Thanks all

Ask them, but I expect the payments will drop to the call plan cost only if the handset has been paid off.

Check out the reception maps for the major networks to find which is best for you, yhen find the cheapest provider of that network.

EG if EE is best, go to Plusnet mobile. Tesco are on the O2 network.
Smarty got good reviews for sim only
Yep, tell Tesco you want to switch to a PAYG SIM only then you can change SIM provider whenever you want
Smarty is the 3 network
Barry, no need to go payg to switch.
Gives a bit of breathing room if you're not sure who to switch to
