dell cover removal

Hi i got a dell pc and the cover has been removed at some time. it is back on but now everytime i switch on pc it keeps coming up with message 'cover previously removed' and it takes ages for it to start up. is there anyway i can get rid of that? I would be grateful for some advice. thanks
