I Can't Log Into My Bt E Mails

Yesterday when I switched my laptop on it said disk error and it then ran through a series of things to fix error.
It said it was resolved, however, when I tried to sign into my BT e mail account it won't now let me sign in as it says not secure and 'your connection is not private'.
Please can anyone help with this? I have installed Avast anti virus.

Check your system clock for correct date and time

Bizarre, but for some reason my time was showing as an hour late, which I changed to the correct time yesterday. Still didn't make any difference.
