When I start up my computer it goes directly to my home page on Internet explorer.I do not always want to use the net.

I have Norton internet security

Norton Personal Fire Wall

Try going into MSCONFIG and stop the programme starting when you start the computer. Go into Run, type in MSCONFIG and untick Internet exploere in the start up tab.
