Simplenote Alternative

Looking for an alternative to Simplenote (basic note jotting program).

Has to:
work on Mac OS
be free or cheap
print (quite a few don't these days)

Any suggestions welcomed!

I use keep from google you can then sync between phone and PC. Do you use android?

yes but do you have an android phone? if so you have a google account, KEEP is the note program, very useful and, it'll be there on all your devices.

Banged to rights. I do have an Android phone (Samsung), but it's on my DESKTOP Mac that I use notes mainly. Is there a Google notes thing?

Had a look at Keep, not keen, printing awkward, and not as basic as Simplenote (or Stickies, which is okay, but doesn't have a page-turning system). Tried Notion, which is very American, which I could live with, but doesn't have a Print function, which I couldn't.

yes on your phone download "keep" as an app then you'll find it is also on your computer, in google. Use your PW from Googleplay on your phone to log in to google on the PC.
