I cannot download any other file other than WMV direct to Media Player. if i right click and "save as" it will then open and play the file.All the file types are icked in Tools/File types.

I'm sure that you'll get lots of different suggestions but I suspect that you'll have to re-install Windows Media player. A much better solution, however, would be to switch to better media player anyway. (The rule with all types of software seems to be that, if Microsoft designed it, then there's always a free alternative which is far better). Dowload VLC, for free, from here:
