eventually yes, but considering BBC arent trialing it until early 2006 and Sky are only going to do a few channels at a time over the next 2 years it isnt going to get its full use, DVD's that take advantage of HD wont be available until mid to late 06 and then will be a slow roll out of films such as DVD's were from vhs. And the only thing really ready for HD is Xbox 360 that is out in december but then there are only a handful of titles available.

My advice, HD is the future, but i would wait until xmas 2006 before having the future as it will be more popular and a little cheaper then.

Xbox360: a few titles?

It will have more launch titles than any other console as well as backwards compatability with 200+ existing Xbox titles with many of them enhanced to HD standard

enhanced back catalogue if u download the emulator and as for launch titles? well it has dwindled from 20 down to 13 at the moment and still more developers are backing out claiming development issues. Expect 11- 13 titles. Not really worth forking out a grand on a telly for is it lol

cheers thanks for the advice think i will go for the save myself a grand option
I have both HD Compatable Plasma and a HD DVD, having seen 2 demo disks now so I would recommend buying one, not just yet as the prices are a little steep but they should only be about 10 to 20% more than an ordinary TV/PLASMA.
