I have Dropbox on my iPhone and it is set to save all pictures to Dropbox. I assumed it did this to free up space on my iPhone but my phone recently filled.

I put it into flight mode and I could still view all my photos so they must still be on my iPhone.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Dropbox is only a back-up you’ll need to manually delete all your pictures from the phone.

I’ve recently started using Google Pics, which is much simpler than Dropbox.

Thanks! Can I delete them all from Dropbox at once, or only one at a time?

Also, how do I see them and retrieve them after I delete them?
Eh? I thought you wanted to free up memory on your phone? When you look at them on Dropbox, you’re looking at the back up version stored on Dropboxks server. You’ll need to delete them from ‘pictures’ on your phone.

As I said, I put my phone in flight mode and could still access my photos, so I assumed they were stills on the device???
Yes, they will be if you haven’t deleted them, manually, from your phone. They will still be there on Dropbox. Try it with a few.
