Google works differently from other search engines. Sites are measured by whether other sites have a link to the site - the theory being that a site that has plenty of other sites pointing to it must be a good site (in search engine terms). So you're wasting tour time with key words or placing links ON your site. You need at least one other site with links TO your site otherwise google will pass it by.
I found my site listed on google only a couple of weeks after I launched it, without even submitting it. Seems one link from an already listed site is enough in some circumstances. Also, I gather that if you put a link to your website in a signature on a google-listed forum, and post often, that can trick Google into thinking there are lots of independent links to your site rather than just you posting it all the time! A friend reckons this is how he got his site into Google. Dunno if it'll work, but every little helps.

I wasn't intending to criticise your post. Whilst key words may be helpful in other ways they have no effect on Google which is what the questioner was asking about. You say he should "put as many links as possible on other sites that have the same interest as yours". I know of no way of "putting" links on someone else's site. Do you?
Yes... just email the webmaster and ask nicely!
