At the moment my Pc runs on the above.I was thinking of upgrading to Windows 7.So I did a compatibility check. My Epson Stylus printer was not recognised, does this mean I will have to buy a new one,or can it be accomodated in some way? Thanks.

If you go to Epson's website you will be able to see if there are drivers for your model on Windows 7. Moving from Vista to XP some years ago I lost the use of a perfectly old but good Epson Laserjet, so nowadays I am very wary of upgrading my OS just for the fun of it.

Sorry for the delay but I think that my printer is so old I can't find it in any listings for upgrading/or not, the drivers to Win 7
Is there a specific reason you want to upgrade? My laptop runs perfectly well on Vista, though I don't use it for anything advanced or complicated.

To tell you the truth gg,there is no real reason to upgrade.I'm like yourself, nothing advanced but just listening to the scaremongers with regards to no cover and open to viruses and all that.I'm happy with what have,PC,s a bit slow and the printer although it's old it works OK.
