We will be in London next month and my wife would love to go on The London Eye. Only problem is her slight claustrophobia. She as asked me to find out the maximum number of people in each capsule, if we are in a lift that gets packed we have to exit it. Can anyone who has been help me out.

Up to 25 people per capsule.
I don't know the maximum number but I have been on the London Eye with a friend who suffers from claustrophobia. I have been with her when waiting for a tube train and she couldn't get on one that was packed with people. However, she was fine on the London Eye because she said that she could look out and so didn't feel claustrophobic.
all info here

Have been on it, didn't find it claustrophobic at all.

Thanks M, that should put paid to that idea. Hope you don't mind my inventive way of not misspelling your name.
Just ask on google it gives you all the info there .yes up to 25 people and there are also seats
Don't mind at all, they won't pack folk in tightly - no one would go.
The capsules are really big and don't always get full. Half empty when I went on it.
I`ve been on it several times and it has never been that busy.

Knock me down with a feather, she who must be obeyed says buy the tickets.
Lovely when I went on, found one women cowered on seat in the centre as she 'was afraid of heights' and her relatives had persuaded her it would be a good idea. I don't think she could wait to get off.
yes, I could understand it not being great for people with a fear of heights, but for claustrophobes it should be fine. The pods are quite spacious and not crowded, and you can just stand there looking at the view all the time.

Tried that with my wife at Alton Towers once cambellking, still have the bruises and it was 20 years ago.
My OH has a 'thing' about exposure or open, wide spaces and he refused to go on because the floor is glass. He went on the wheel in Manchester OK but that was far more enclosed and crowded so he seems to be the reverse of your wife.
Question Author
Just spotted the glass floor, a definite no no. Good job I didn't book tickets.
it hasn't got a glass floor
Question Author
I believed zebo.
Book your tickets sapelesam, its a great ride. Don't know why zebo thinks its got a glass floor, You can quiet clearly see from the vid that it hasn't.
