I'm using Microsoft Excel to monitor my blood sugar level, I want to show changes with both positive (+) and negative (-) values, additionally I'd like negative values to be shown in red.

Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA

You need to look at the number formats. There are a number of presets for you to use as examples. You make a custom format by copying and pasting one and experimenting with editing it. Use the help menu option to guide you. Sorry PC shut down at preset or I'd check.
open excel
home tab go to RIbbon
four along to section labelled Number
toggle that to get 'Number' in the window

or follow this - it does the same thing

In the format cells option, choose numbers then custom and type in, +0;-0.;0
There was a rogue decimal point there, +0;-0;0
