Is it possible to overcharge a laptop battery?
I tend to leave my lappy plugged in most of the time but a friend of mine seems to think that once fully charged it should be disconnected from the mains?

I leave mine plugged in 90% of the time and its 2 years old now and never had an issue

The charging circuitry automatically adjusts according to the state of the battery.
