I have an Omega wireless doorbell, which for some reason goes off when there is no one at the door.Thought it might be picking up a signal from another switch on the street, but it went off the other night at about 3.00am.
Any ideas?Mick

ours did that it was the guy over the road using his car key fob to unlock his car .it took a week to find this out
ours also did it - it was something to do with the radios in taxis
There's usually a way to change channels to a different frequency to avoid these "interferences".
All electrical devices produce r.f. (radio frequency) signals. Further, all devices designed to receive signals only on a specific frequency will still pick up strong signals on adjacent frequencies (or 'harmonic') ones.

So the source of the interfering signal isn't necessarily any device which is intended to produce r.f. radiation. It could be something like your central heating's timer switch (or that of a neighbour) which is causing the problem.

As Gingejbee suggests, you might need to see if a different channel is available for the doorbell's signal.
Ours was forever going off. Every time we changed frequency it interacted with someone else's car key fob. We gave up in the end and got a hard-wired one.
Same problem as Clucky, if I may call you that, same answer
