Iv seen a nice TFT screen in my local shop. It has a 35ms response time. Is this fast enough to watch DVD's and play games on? If not, what speed should i try to find? I really dont wanna spend millions on it. Thanks, all.

It depends on what you're prepared to put up with. For playing games, I'd recommend 16ms and lower. DVD playback might look a bit rough with anything higher than 20ms.
Personally, I'd go for something around the 16ms mark.

20ms is fine for games, unless you're a professionnal quake3 player.
So I don't know about 35ms ... it seems a bit risky for gaming.

For DVDs, it shouldn't be a big problem because I suppose they only run at 24 images per second anyway... but don't take my word for it, I'm no expert in DVDs.

Some TFTs offer response time as low as 8ms so 35ms seems rather high.
