i need a sat nav ( uk only ) where i can type in say 4-5 addresses at one time and it will take me to the shortest quickest route to them 4-5 address.

example : im based in hammersmith , i want to go to illford / woolwich / putney / dagenham / acton.

is it possible that a sat nav will find me the best possible shortest route for all 5 addresses ?

i " might " be doing deliveries so i need to do it this way.

I think you need to put in the first address and when you get there put in the next address and so on. Otherwise buy a map and look at that.
Do Sat Navs solve the "travelling salesman" problem for you ? I didn't realise that.
Most Sat Navs can do a multiple choice route. Pick the last one as a destination and add the others as 'waypoints' in the order you want them.
You normally create the route on a manager on your laptop and then load it over to your satnav - any newer Garmin will do this.
You can do that in Google maps if you have a Droid phone or tablet

i use google maps on my samsung s4 smart phone , though i got lost in london central last year because the bloody thing kept losing location . why does this happen ?

some one gave me a link for another sat nav app on here last year sometime but i cant find it. so does anyone know of another good sat nav app apart from google maps ?

one more if i may, if i buy a garmin or a tom tom , are they better than the apps like google maps etc on my smart phone ?
You need to switch wi-fi off when using google maps otherwise your device might try to connect to that in cities / towns.

ah ok, so the wifi interferes with the app when trying to connect. thanks.

so, question remains, is a tom tom or garmin better than the phone apps ?

thanks
Larger screens, that's all really. Oh, and the possibility of a phone call interrupting google maps on your phone.
