When viewing sky channels on my Samsung smart TV sometimes there is a few seconds blank screen almost as if there is a time lapse between skybox and tv anyone else had this happen please?

Assume you are referring to when you select to change channels and the screen goes blank for a few seconds at that point. If so, on your Sky Box 'Settings menu', try setting the 'HD Resolution Output' from 'Automatic' to a fixed max HD resolution of 1080i.

Also, try setting the 'SCART Control' setting to 'Disabled' in the Sky box settings menu if you don't need it.

Sorry didn't make myself clear this happen whilst watching a program not when changing channels. Also they settings on box are as you suggested.
