Comet have a special offer on just now for 25 DVD+RW blanks in a spindle for only 9.99! However, I've tried them in my DVD recorder (LG new one RH7500) and in two different DVD Rewriters on a computer. Also tried a more recent laptop with external DVD rewriter (LITEON) and still no success. Never had anything happen like this -very disappointed - will cost at least a fiver in petrol just to return them!

Anyone else bought these?

Seems like a bit of a rip off to me in the first place anyway - try www.blankshop.co.uk for any recordable media you need. I've been get my dvds and cds from them for ages and have only ever had a couple of coasters. You may as well put your fiver towards some new ones.

I have had lots of DVDs/DVDRws etc. from websites like the one you mentioned (and others inc. SVP/blankdiscshop) and from our 'local' computer shop who are very good. This was one offer I couldn't refuse (!) and it was Comet after all. Will be back to the shop tomorrow - let you know the result.
I have seen these in the shop, to be honest 25 x DVD+RW @ 9.99 is not that bad a price. They are Ridata branded ( subsidary of Ritek ) so a good quality disk and they should work without any problems.

Success! Got the pack changed today (it was definitely a bad pack - the dye looked different). Was able to check one of the disks in the shop (good old Robert in Comet) on a computer first. Now got them working at home on the DVD recorder (should also be ok on the computer). Pity their DVD -RW are only 2x speed (these are 4x).
