Quite a few hopeless people in this country, too!

Pete65 it is obvious you dont like me so dont bother replying to my posts in future
More likely to be India than Egypt, gordie - and there are lots of skilled people out there that do the job a lot cheaper, that's why.
Question Author
No it was Egypt I asked where they were from?
I don't think Pete meant you, gordie - you can only offer a helpline service if you have skilled people to man ut.
Question Author
well this one wasnt skilled she did not understand what I was saying and said she could not help with my enquiry
Sony's originally from Japan anyway - they can base their help facility anywhere!
Perhaps she couldn't understand the accent either - - nothing personal, I live with Scottish people and you can have a strong accent!
It had nothing to do with your accent then Gordie?

A bit of give and take on both sides is a good thing.
Yes, it is because "off-shore" call agents are cheaper. And possibly because you can cover a full 24 hours service more easily. That you can't understand their accent and they know little other than to fob you off has nothing to do with it.

Just beat me to it Eccles!
;o)
I once had to deal with a call handler from 'ooop north', possibly Tyneside, and I couldn't understand him.
Perhaps if you post the nature of the problem here, someone might be able to help you gordie?

I think it's terrible how companies outsource their work.

I'm $15 an hour BTW...
