Why Have Programmes I Have Recorded On My Sky+Hd Box Vanished

I have recorded some programmes on my Sky+HD box that I have yet to watch and today when I went to watch some they have vanished and no-one has deleted them, why is this?

Have you exceeded your percentage of storage? Auto-delete?

Have you cancelled your Sky subscription?

Perhaps they have reached their expiry date eg. some things you download are only available for a certain amount of time.

Recordings shouldn't expire.
