Horrible Facebook Comment- Freaked Out

I am a bit freaked out I was on facebook and I read a post about a homeless man being evicted from under a bridge and on the post there was a comment that was horrendous saying that if people did not repost what was written by that writer that they would die tonight and it went on to list a whole lot of things that had happened to people if they ignore it and turn off thier computer. I was thinking about reporting it to facebook but dont know how.

go to the top right hand side of the post, towards the arrow. There you have the option to report the post.

It's horrible but I think I would just ignore it, but is there a report option on Facebook you could use?

Don't worry about it, you see that all the time and worse. What you got was a chain message in which you're meant to send to 10 friends and them 10 friends each etc.. I've never passed it on and haven't died yet, touch wood :)

That sounds like the modern version of chain letters which have been around for decades. very warped minds that trigger them off. Take no notice of the threats but try to report if you can.

In the top corner of the post there is a little feint arrow pointing down, click on that and then click report (you do know it's a load of horse *** don't you - nothing is going to happen to you).

Long before facebook posts like this, you'd get chain letters.. just ignore them, well that's what I do, I seen a post earlier to 'share' a wad of £20 notes and I'll be rich - I ignored that too

I have lost count of the number of facebook posts like that I have read and ignored over the years, hundreds possibly thousands. I used to scroll right past them but now there is the facility to 'block posts like this'.

There are sick and stupid people out there, believe it or not many are teens who find the whole thing funny, along the long of scaring their mates with ghost stories.

It amazes me how many of those who I would class as 'sane and intelligent people' actually pass on these messages -usually to me. Forget about them -I think rationality goes out of the window with some FaceBook users. I see many people using pictures of their children and grandchildren as profile pictures and cut their own heads out of the picture for 'security reasons', or have tons of pictures of friends a family publicly on display for anyone to download .
