Can't Open Chrome.

Firefox is working OK. When I click on Chrome icon nothing happens. Any ideas whats happening?

Chrome has a nasty habit of leaving some background processes running, which will then prevent a new chrome window from starting.

Either delete all Google Chrome background processes (using task manager), or shut down and restart your machine to clear them away.

You may have run out of resources, perhaps, maybe it's just being intolerably slow. Does a reboot fix it ?
Or it may be corruption with Chrome. How about a reinstall ?

I always have a few browsers installed. If one has a 'funny five minutes' I simply use a different one.

i just have the one ,firefox and of course the IE (pre installed)

Recently had problems with security updates for IE 11 and ended up uninstalling it and going back to IE 10, alongside Firefox and Chrome

Switching the computer off and then on again seems to have done the trick. Chrome is back.
