I have win98.
I have Quick time for windows and it cant open some *.mpg files. Why?
It appears the message : "This file contains data reference.Current version of Quick Time dont support data references"
1. Which version should i have and what is data references?
Where can i download it for free?
2. Is there a media player programme which wirks like winamp- i mean putting in its list , the video files and it plays by its own one after ther other ?

the easiest will be to use the microsoft media player instead of quicktime for mpegs ... first, check that you have the last codec, second use the MS media player v6.4 (in my opinion, it is the best) you can normally find it here : C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe With this software you can also use playlist like winamp ... drop your files in winamp (don't play the files) and save the playlist as usual then drag and drop the playlist in Window Media Player and see the result ... it works !! Enjoy your movies !
