Kodak Printer Problem

My Kodak S405 printer keeps telling me to put the black cartridge in, but it is in.
I have taken it in and out a dozen times with no success.
Any thoughts.

OR, alternatively, if you have a software istallation disc try re-installing the software as the original installation may have become corrupted.
