Photoshop 6.0 Question

Hope someone can help with this. It's not a problem as such, just something I've done that I'd like to undo.
Because of some accidental keystroke, any open image file has a 2-digit number and a small landscape illustration in the top left corner. Doesn't cause a problem, of course, but it's only there because I keyed something by mistake. Can anyone tell me how to remove it?

Sounds like you have turned on the option to show slices. Look in the menus for Show or View and slices should be an option. To set anything as a preference, do the setting with no open documents.
