I am looking at headphones for iTunes on ipad and watching movies now and then on the tv. Prefer wired, but trouble is most headphones these days have short wires. I have good headphone extension lead, would it alter the quality too much if I used this for using with tv. Also, do you have any experience of the above headphones.

I'm using Bose QC15s for the iPhone and with a 6m extension lead for TV. Very comfortable for hour after hour listening. The improved sound quality is amazing after suffering the TV's poor sound of the speakers on my Sony Bravia.
AKG K450 for me, had a pair for a year now and am very pleased with them. Check out the headphones recommendations in the magazine "Stuff" may help you. They do a top tweny of goodies each month.
