Am getting one for my pc, what formats such as DVD + OR - do i need to get please?

My advice would be to get one that supports writing and re-writing to both the "+" and "-" formats. They're readily available ans cost little, if any, more than ones that only support one. That way, you won't have to worry about which format you're buying when trying to find blank media for it, and instead only have to worry about the rated speed of the discs you're buying.
