Why do the readings on the inverter panel and the meter vary so much? My inverter says 3426, my meter says 3302

Tilly..........the discrepancy is due to the calibration limits.The inverter meter is typically 1.5% less accurate than the main energy meter.

My figures also differ.

Meter is always higher than the readings I get from the inverter.

Don't know why.

I'm not sure but I don't think they're supposed to be the same. The inverter tells you what the panels have produced and your meter tells you what you have used.

So, when I am asked to submit the numbers for the FIT, I should submit the lower number, not the higher number that shows on the inverter window?

Give your supplier a call....most will let you submit the higher reading.
