I know this is going to sound like an advertisement but if you have had trouble with WiFi in your home I may have found the answer.  A new product has just been released which sends LAN signals through the mains.  It's easy to install and at around 45 per unit is just about OK price wise.  I ordered mine and had it installed within 28 hours of ordering and suddenly my outbuildings are in contact with my house. Apparently old wiring can be a problem but check it out at: http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=1806 I have no connection with this company or the product but it sure did solve a problem for me.

I'm sure you mean to be helpful, but:

Your link doesn't work.
Ethernet over mains is by no means new.
There are cheaper options.
