Tried to add funds to my LOTTO account but had a message that said that there were problems with Chrome and the LOTTO. There is still an unresolved problem accessing BT Yahoo Mail thru Chrome...at this rate I am going to return to using Explorer. Why can't Chrome pull its finger out ?

Why go back to IE? even Firefox would be a better option.
I'm finding glitches using Chrome on the iPad, especially when using AB, infact I've gone back to Safari which I detest.

Earlier this year we applied for a new mortgage online, had to be done via IE as the bank's application form wouldn't work on Chrome, ridiculous.
I've never liked Chrome.

Have you tried Firefox (which is about a zillion times better than Internet Explorer)?

We played lotto on Chrome today. He uses Chrome. I use Firefox.
I just downloaded Firefox to the iPad and I'm having exactly the same problems on AB as I do when using Chrome.
Hi Mikey
Don't think it's the browser that's the problem, I think it's the National Lottery. I've just tried changing my "Play slips" and was told that there seems to be a problem, please phone 0845 .......
Maybe they're being crafty and hoping that people will phone using a premium rate number !!

Bugger, I did put in National Lottery there and got a lot of landline numbers.
that's odd - mine (lotto) fixed yesterday
>>>Maybe they're being crafty and hoping that people will phone using a premium rate number

0845 is a 'local rate' number from BT landlines, NOT a 'premium rate' number.
More to the point why doesn't AB pull its finger out? I had to switch to Chrome from IE because this site was virtually unusable on IE.
I use the built in Safari on iPad and AB is flawless.
I haven't had any problems with BT Yahoo mail on chrome, nor with anything else.
There are two side to such problems, the browser and the coding of the site. In most cases the real problem is with poor coding of the site which uses non standard commands.

Different browsers attempt to render faulty code with different workarounds.

Still a problem with Lotto this morning.

I am aware that there are other browsers available but my point is that I used Internet Explorer for nearly 16 years without any compatibility problems. IE is supposed to be horrid but I now have to use it to do very simple things, like read my emails and top-up my Lotto. I have also had similar problems with the BBC News website.

If these problems persist, I am seriously considering returning to IE for everything.
I have just opened the National lottery website and AB in Safari's De-bug console mode.

Result: National Lottery = No Site Errors. AB = 30 Site Errors
