Ipod shuffle - changing the order the songs play in

How can I change the order my ipod shuffle plays the songs in, when I put it on the play in order mode?

am i right in thinking that you create a playlist, and then copy that playlist over to your shuffle?

if so, i believe it plays in the order of that playlist.

otherwise, doesn't it say anywhere in your manual or something? else, check the apple support pages:

hi Suzannew,  sorry if you have already sorted this problem (only just found question). Shuffles are quite basic giving you only 3 main options of play. On the back you have  OFF, PLAY IN ORDER, and finally SHUFFLE. Failing that, just play in order and use the SKIP controls on the other side. Hope this helps!

Go on on iTunes and on the bit where it lists the songs on ur iPod just change to the order you want, i.e artist ot song etc.....
