Faster Processor V Bigger Storage?

Looking at purchasing a desktop pc and have seen a Lenovo H520s at Currys. I5 processor 4gb ram,5gb storage. £400. They have another Lenova model for same price but with i3 processor ,6gb ram and 1tb storage. I only use it for browsing and emails . I also have a 40gb itunes library to transfer ,
so which would you recommend? Larger storage v faster processor? Any suggestions for other models with similarities in price and spec?

I assume you mean 500Gb storage.
If you only use it for browsing and emails then both computers are plenty powerful enough. I still have a PC I bought in 2009 that is probably half as powerful as either of those above and it is fine for web browsing and emails.
However it is a lot easier to add more storage than to change the processor so go for the faster CPU.
It may be more than you need now, but who knows what may happen in the next year or so to require a faster CPU.
If it is a decent sized desktop PC then adding a new 1TB drive is a piece of cake and can be done (by someone who knows what they are doing) in about 10 minutes.
p.s. Don't always believe PC Worlds "sale" prices (previously sold at £700 is either a lie, or maybe it was only sold at their Inverness branch at that price).
Compare prices and specs with other suppliers (Amazon for example) to be sure of what you are getting.

Had a look on Currys site.
They both seem to be £399 so it is up to you if you go for the better CPU in the i5, or the more memory and larger hard disk in the i3.
Given the choice I would go for the i5.
I see they are small slimline cases so fitting a second hard disk may not be an option, but you can easily plug in an external hard drive to add more storage.
Note at £399 that these only come with keyboard and mouse, you don't get a screen or speakers.

One other thing to think about.
Microsoft released Windows 8 earlier this year, and it has not been a total success.
They have made quite a few changes, and are bringing out Windows 8.1 in mid October.
This will be a free download, but to save you having to do that you may want to wait till late October and buy a PC that has already got Windows 8.1 on it and has been tested by the company who supply it.
If you need a PC now then go ahead, but if you can afford to wait a month or so it may be worth it to wait for Windows 8.1.
