A large icon of a red disc called cyberlink has appeared on the desktop screen, I don't know how there and I don't want it! How do I get rid of it? All I seem to do is download updates, I hate it so much I muddle along on my old HP550 that I thought was kaputt.

Have you perhaps played a DVD or Blu-Ray disk in your laptop?

Cyberlink (as a company) make digital media players, video editors, photo editors etc so it could be any of those products.

If you delete this Cyberlink product you may find you cant play DVDs or Blu Ray disks any more, or some other video or photo feature may stop working.
