Called in to cousin's gas place to arrange disconnection of Ma's gas cooker. Trapped my hand in their emergency exit....two badly cut and swollen fingers. No sympathy from the cousins. Hmm...may keep quiet about the Granda's financial securities I found in the attic.....;-)
Discovered alterations to the house meant furniture upstairs which was going to auction didn't come down, despite having demolished the banister....luckily I had a hammer and axe in my handbag. Now have lots of nice firewood.
Buyers want carpets removed...no problem except the builders turning the large bedroom into two did it over the carpet....luckily my axe has a very sharp knife on it.
The, by now only, piece of furniture left for the auction house needed protection. Running up the path with a duvet to cover it I stood on one corner. The heels of both hands, my chin and one knee hit the path and joined the fingers in the quest for some sympathy from the brother........Lucky you were carrying the duvet...he said. Brother now has a limp.
Gave the X-ray department a miss......too risky and came home.
But the sun is still shining.....the theatre in Taunton is still open.... and I am keeping an eye on the yardarm....x
