Just registered this phone yesterday and today I can't pick up calls. Get the green button and the red button, keep pressing and tapping green button and call just won't pick up. Also sometimes when I dial mobiles I get 'No Network' as well as sometimes when I try to use the internet. What is going on ? I bought it online and when I phone them for help my network is so bad

you have to swipe across from the centre of the circle - i had the same problem!
One possibility to consider, it could be that the phone service providers network signal is not strong enough in your area. You can check this by looking at status of the icons at the top of the phone.

Not sure which icon it is as I don't have access to a Galaxy S3, but there is some info here and also in the manual that you should have received with the phone:

Is the Phone on contract or is it Pay-as-you-go?

If the answer is yes to both of these and the current phone service network signal strength is the problem, you could try using a different phone service providers Sim that has a stronger signal where you are.

Sorted ! In case it happens to anyone else - you have to swipe over the green button when there is a call -- I was tapping.... Senior Moment but might help someone else.

And yes, pinky, I do have a bad network here, that is probably the reason. Phew ...
Well, sorry to hear that about the poor signal, but I guess we've all been there at some point!

I am with Orange and the network signal was atrocious until they eventually merged with T-Mobile awhile back!

Hope you manage to sort it. I guess the only option is to see if you can change to a different phone network if possible, which is not easy if you are on a fixed contract. If it is a contract you should badger the phone service company and see what they are prepared to do to make it better!
I faced the same problem but in my case it was a phone defect... waiting to get my phone replaced by Samsung.
When you got call on your phone as it is touch screen you dont need to press in fact you need to swipe the green button only then you will actually receive the call.......
